Hey steve, (and don't mean to hijack Mike!) My pond when full was about 4 metric tonnes of water + the weight of build materials, and according to the previous owners the concrete foundations of the conservatory were 18" thick and that's held up fine.

Any news Mike?

steve, the concrete is about a foot deep mate, nothing special, more is better i guess though :)

news..........well............not really :(

i am planning on lining it out completely with a thin ply, 5mm or something like that, then getting it properly fibre glassed, won't f*!@ing leak then hey :nilly:

apart from that nothing to report, but i won't give up on it.

Cheers mike for the info.

keep at it mike, looking forward to seeing this done now.

cheers mate, appreciate the positive words. I'm almost back in business now, will order the 5/6mm plywood this week delivered to the house, then get it lined out, soon as my dad is on his feet again (back problems) which won't be long, he said he'll get it fibre glassed out. watch this space  :D

Good luck matey, hopefully there won't be bubbling problems after that. I still have the number for a very good Norwich based fibreglasser and glazer if there's issues or problems and you'd like it.
