That glass gold plated or something?! The 3 10mm thick windows on my build came to just over 80 quid all together, 1500 is just short of being 20 times more expensive!
i think he's talking bollocks. it hurts because he is cheap for supplying mirrors etc. for work. i am seriously bending towards acrylic. yeah it can potentially scratch, well i know it can, i have tried getting the scratches out, but unless something gets close to scratch it, it won't. it's half the money of my best quote for glass and................ dare i announce this............ but we have our first (fingers and toes and whatever else, its been a very rough ride, crossed) bambina on the way in like four months...........so i wanna get it glazed up...whatever. :)

got tomorrow off so gonna cut all the sections for the filter and seal them in. pics to follow

ok, i think i have a bit of a serious problem :WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA:

i drained the filter some time ago but left a couple of inches of water in the bottom, because i couldn't syphon any more out. sponged the remaining water out just now to cut the sections for the filtration and dried it properly with a towel, there are bubbles in most of the corners, underneath the epoxy, i thought they were hard but when i push my thumb on them they are moving about and some water appears here and there?????!!!!!!! :irked: :WHOA: :irked: oh dear  what have i done wrong?

Congratulations matey and to missus Huntley, hope it all goes well for you.

If you get the urge to go glass again then i'll dig out the number for the place i used if you want and fancy a trip up to norwich.

satan, sorry for the double post my pedigree chum, i ain't figured out the double 'quote' thingy via the posting so you guys get a reply each :)
No worries dude, click on the pair of inverted comma's ( " " ) near the 'quote' button at the bottom of each post you want to quote in your reply, then press the 'quote' button on the last one you want to quote and they should all appear in your reply. Then just write responses between quotes like this!

Just wondering mike how deep did you do the foundations and concrete before you put the summerhouse up,because ive got to tell the architect so he can do the building plans and im worried about it sinking lol

Hey steve, (and don't mean to hijack Mike!) My pond when full was about 4 metric tonnes of water + the weight of build materials, and according to the previous owners the concrete foundations of the conservatory were 18" thick and that's held up fine.

Any news Mike?
