9' long 4'high 5'deep ply tank has begun.....kinda!

It depends on the size,you should get a 8 or 9"er for £250 and probably a big 12"+ for £300+ but make sure you go to see it and not just buy online although i did just spend £120 online on two bichirs from dan at tropical imports and would definitely recommend him.

cheers steve, much appreciated. when the time comes, do you think it makes sense to get two at the same time or could i add one and maybe six months approx. add another?
 
i had a bit of a look at the following link, think 'bigcol' posted it a while back, about epoxy resin for ponds.

phoned them up this morning, very helpful indeed. My question was does it bond ok to ply and the response was yes :headbang2 also advised using their epoxy putty to do all the joints, corners etc. so i'm gonna order the stuff end of the week i reckon, funds allowing, then 'tank' it out next week once it arrives.
was thinking about doing inside the filter a light colour, they have yellow, just to make it easier to see what im doing in there really, not sure on the tank, blue or black?

You cant really keep two asians,well its not been a major success for some people,you either have one or 5+ but i think you can have asians with silver aros but check first and id go black paint and sand but blue could work but i think its too bright for me.

cheers. just the one then :irked: better make it a nice one and not buy the very first one i see! had a look at that importer you suggested, looks great i will definately be emailing him to see what goodies he can come up with :D

i was thinking black more than blue, think it will set the fish off better. sand, should i be using the inert stuff, sorry cant remember the technical term for it
