If Jeff says they can hit 10" I guess they can I've never seen one that big but again I didn't keep them for years so yeah I guess they could.
I know a lot of the Aequidens species profiles I have read all seem to say 4-6", which makes me wonder if a lot of the profiles are inaccurate. If Jeff says they can hit 10" I guess they can I've never seen one that big but again I didn't keep them for years so yeah I guess they could.
Exactly. The lack of info on both metae and 'JH' has made it very difficult for me to make up my mind! LOLReferences I have list 15cm for sp. JH and 20cm for Metae ... keep in mind most stuff you find on the net is wrong, given these species are so easy to misidentify.
Awesome. Looks like Rapps is right on with his sizes (at least for the 'JH').The diadema I posted the picture of is I would say about 9 inches, never took him out to measure, the other one is a bit smaller, I'd say 7-8. I would think metae, tetramerus ect would grow about the same. They are about 2 years old.
So it continues to be confusing...I made up my mind earlier today to raise metae and Jenaro Herrera until I got an email back from Rapps saying his metae can hit 10" while the 'JH' only reach 8"!! If that is true, I will be getting A. stalsbergi and A. 'Jenaro Herrera'.
I know I have asked this before, but do metae really only reach 5-6"? I have seen video labeled as metae that look pretty big (8"+). Is Rapps thinking of a different species or is it possible they get that big?
