Yeah, I tried. I'd love to have a small pack of them. I've had a lot of success in the past raising them on prepared foods. The powers that be wouldn't have it, though. PBass are one of my favorite SA fish.

Just finished reading the whole thread! I was at mall of America about 10 years ago as a kid, but I dont remember an aquarium, maybe my mom didnt take us. But now that I have two kids and one on the way I would like to start planning a trip there, especially to see the aquarium. Thanks for documenting all of this! Ill convince my husband by telling him about the lego land, they still have that right?

Underwater Adventures is fairly new, but not that the same time. I believe before that there was like a garbage or recycling thing underneath so you might have missed it.

I remember when they built Underwater Adventures, but I believe it was called Underwater World at the time, or else as a kid thats how I remembered it.

The original aquarium was "Underwater World"....it went under (no pun intended). When it was bought out, the new owner changed the name to underwater Adventures (hoping to market it to the demographic that is at the Mall) and really fixed up the place. Like most major aquariums, it's a work in progress. Working within the confines of the Mall basement can be tight. But we do the best with what we have.
Most people won't see it if they didn't know it was there. Our entry way is poorly marked on the East side 1st floor.

Taken this morning....

Of course the arapaima pics, a shot of the nice red tail, and a shot of the over all tank from the top looking down. Hopefully this shows the mix of fish a lot better. Sorry the ray pics are a little off, but they're on the bottom 14 feet down!
