Will wait on ur pics ;)

Regarding temps why don't u get a fan to keep the temps low... You could either buy a regular fan or for kick sake make a DIY using computer fans which would be way cheaper than buying.... :)

^ sadly, same problem as i originally had with the lights, which is the system is a closed top system, so can't add anything to the tank so to speak...

Right now i just set the timer on my air-con to turn on roughly an hour before i finish work, and set the light timer to come on slightly later in the day as well...

So right now, tank is normally around 28'c when i get home which still isnt ideal, but still better than overheating...

Sorry been very busy lately and haven't had a chance to update this thread properly like i originally intended...

Anyway, here are a few quick snaps of the tank from tonight... as you can see the the HC has really bounced back... the one in the close up shots was the original patch in the tank that literally looked like it was dead and now looks like what you see in the pics after adding Co2...even the anubias are starting to fill out there little areas really well

Nice! Looks like your tank is doing great! Can't wait to see how the HC fills in.

^ Thanks guys :)

Yeah it would seem the T8 lights are sufficient to grow HC after all, but now have to wait and see if it will start to crawl and fill out the space as intended

Another thing I did, but not much...I heard that it helps growth when you trim the HC. Replanting the trimmings will help get that carpet faster too.

Thanks for the tip... I was thinking if i should trim it or not, but decided to wait a little longer before doing so just to let it grow in a bit more...
