I like discus cause they are beautiful but they are also expensive. I own 2 angels and id like to to get more, also that can be done since there cheaper! I may be wrong but dont discus need really really clean water?

Discus if time and money are not a factor...but they are for me, so I have angels.

Definatley discus... They are so lovely but very hard to maintain. Need very clean water but feeding isn't really a problem. I got this awesome picture of them and if you do get discus make sure that is pretty well planted as in the picture.

sorry can only post link.

I work at a lfs and we currently have beautiful discus for buy one get one free at $30. They are about 1-1.5 inches but their parents are amazing in color "blue". We also have angles of the same age/size. I take care of both tanks which house around 150 each and i must say i favor the angles as they have more personality and are more active. Though the Discus colors are beautiful, they rival most of our salt water fish easily. I vote angles for having style/grace and vigor/personality

I don't think discus are hard to maintain, and they don't need a well-planted tank to thrive. In the wild they are often found among tree branches/driftwood and leaf litter rather than plants.

As much as I love angels, I will always vote discus. There's something very regal and elegant about them. Plus, if you get good quality ones, they'll grow to a really nice size and be real show-stoppers. Every time company comes over they are always drawn to my discus tanks above everything else.

Discus requires more time, money and attention than Angel. There are so many colors/strains and make a nice display tank. as far as breeding, there are so many secrets that people like to challenge themself by crossing this with that..... but it's fun. so it's all up to you and depends on what you want fish tank for?? display, breeding, keep you busy, work out..... hope this help.

I vote for Discus
