great idea but isn't it possible for the wood to flex some as well?I would think so.In any case,you will know no matter what.

The wooden "bow measurer" should not move or flex as it is wedged in between two 4x4's about 1 inch from the glass.

First of all, thanks for all the great kudos. Second, sorry for all the seperate replies, I still haven't figured out how to add more than one quote in a reply.

I haven't filled her yet, I was going to do it yesterday, but I went fishing instead, plus I really wanted to make sure there were no leaks at half fill.

Everything is looking good so far.

The tank will be full within a couple of hours and I will post some photos then, wish me luck

It's 3/4 full right now and no leaks....not sure how high my blood pressure is right now though.....but my heart is pumping well

The glass has bowed 1mm or 0.04 inch in the center of the big window

IT'S FULL........WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I filled it right to the top and above the bulkheads (I have valves on the back switched to off) and so far so good......no leaks. I'll leave it full for a few days to see if any leaks develop. If any, I expect leaks around the bulkheads or hoses on the back.

The glass bowed a total of 1.5mm in the very center of the big window.

Now, I'm getting the sump fixed up ready for some recircing.
