Anything Caquetaia!

None hatched. I might have freaked out the parents by taking too many pics. The butti and the pair of specs threaten each other, but don't often make contact. The butti has surpassed the specs in size. I once saw one of ther specs bite the butti, and the butti bit back so hard I could hear it. I eventually want to move the butti to another aquarium before he snaps and wipes out the specs. That would be tragic.

Pics aren't that great
"Here's my Male Kraussi and my Spectabilis"

i'm pretty new to the whole cequatia game but it's really good too see other fish within the species other than the umbee, which seems the most common. To my knowledge, umbees are the only cequatia to reach the australian shores

FISHLUVR. for some reason that Kraussi reminds me of a beani. it looks really cool. also is that male or female Spectabilis?

here is a pic of my female. the camera does no justice to her colours. she has alot more of a dark blue/green sheen over her body than the photo acually shows.

It is indeed unfortunate. I am waiting until beanis hit our shores.

Here is GMFISHNUTS umbie

Beautiful cichlids! Love it.

My spectabilles may have finally bred again, can't quite tell. They've both been hanging out together around the big flowerpot deep within their cave area. I can barely see in there, it is very difficult. I can see little specs of something within the flowerpot, but it may just be algae. The butti has been gone for a while, moved him to another aquarium. The orange pike is still in their though. I'll post again when I find out for sure if they bred.
