  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Must be old bio that hasn't been shaken in awhile or filter padding. Or crap in substrate, something in your tank smells, you get the idea.

Get a little plugin carbon air filter $25. @ home depot. I think air wick makes it...

Maybe I should try cleaning my filters more often ? I don't clean my 2 fx5's for like 4 to 5 months at a time... And my ac110 once a month

4-5 months is a long time. i've never kept pbass or arows but i assume they're messy. i clean mine every 1-2 months with my cichlids/native

I tryed cycling my tank with prawns 1 time and that smelled up the room for awhile. not doing that again :nilly:

Its because you dont use carbon. Thats not too hard to figure out man. That is step #1. I prefer to use an organic removant called chemi-pure instead. Seems to do a better job.

Your gravel/sand clean?

Consider that even if you don't have fish tanks, room will smell of you don't have enough circulation, now add a body of water with fish who do all their businesses there. Try to ventilate the room more, you might notice a difference.

There is a product on the market called "No Damp" by starbrite. boaters use it when they winterize. It's sented and may help.
