Aquascape piranha stock, pics

but when you look at the pics you attached you can see the whole body is golden color, that's what I'm referring to

oh ok I see what you mean, I think that has to do with the lighting in that tank, making the fish look way more golden than it actually is.

I doubt that...and base on how the author calling p. nattereri as gibbus I'm pretty sure he has no idea what gibbus looks likes

yeah the book is definitely shady, or not reliable but I do think pic 1 and 2 look like a large Gibbus. If you notice on the first 2 picks the bright choice of wallpaper, whoever had the tank probably used fancy fluorescent artificial lighting.

let's see if other member has comments on this but I still think the first two are most likely mac

I am very confident the Gibbus Pedro sold to me is a real Gibbus, I have a black right next 2 it the same length and I can see the different characteristics that were shown on the black and white OPEFE chart. What I meant with the bending is the Gibbus likes to bend or curl, the blacks do it too but they have a stiffer stance.

I'm gonna try and get my black next to the Gibbus to hold still so I can take a shot of it so you can compare it to my Gibbus's body charactersitics.

is that your gibbus in that video? if it is that is a truly BEAUTIFUL gibbus i would love to have that guy/girl in one of my tanks, very nice thanks for sharing, how much did it cost you?

no that is not my gibbus, I was showing JP a video to compare a book's picture of a gibbus. I do have a Gibbus, it is a young Gibbus at 3", pics are in this thread. Very lively aggressive fish.
