My one buddy who helped lift it is part owner in a landscape firm. He says: "you didn't buy a pump yet did you?" and I said, "no, why?". He's got about 20 of them in stock and he's giving me an adjustable 3000gph pond pump with a 2 year warrenty FREE!!!

thats bloody awsome!!! you should name a fish after him for sure.

oh and speaking of fish. just cause you got a big tank. are you going to put already grown fish? or are you goin to start off with smaller baby size fish and grow them your self?

I think growing fish would be real cool. plus it will save on feeding expense while u recooperate what you spent already.

I was going to post a thread a while ago about this subject. I'm putting small arowanas in and small oscars. I always wondered why people would pay high prices for large fish, since raising them from babies is half the fun of it! I've never bought a big fish before, and don't intend to now. I have one 8" arowana, one 10" CK and a 6" oscar to start. Once I'm sure everything is running good, I'll grow out 4 more new little arowanas to about 8". Not 100% on the rest of the stocking list. It'll look pretty funny with all that water and 10 or so little fish, but that'll change in a year. Yeah, what I spent already, umm. I lost track. it's in the $3k range, and I think getting closer to 4. I'm sure after fish etc. I'll be at 6k or so. :WHOA: :screwy:

Whatever, It's what I love...

Hey How Are you coming with this tank you were building?
we are currently building 2000 gallon one, how'd you do your filtration?
we were thinking of putting a drain and grates in the floor to keep the caca out

I was going for amazon, but the CK kills that I know. No rays (wife hates them :irked: ) bichirs... dunno... Maybe a tropical gar.

A group of severum (not w/gar) would be cool (green and/or gold), some white cichlids (vieja argentea), sunshine and scarlet plecos!
