I had this exact issue, which is why I dont like the LRB/TAV mixture. I feel your pain. Pretty stressful.......

I think they gave you bad advice about the LRB in the corners only. I coated the whole thing with Perm then LRB then Perm again. I can titaly see the Perm itself developing bubbles as well. I guess I can understand your leak now. That would have been usefull if the person would have told you an entire coat of LRB.

Chris
Yeah, what's worse is they specifically told me there was no need to coat the entire interior with LRB. Just all the corner lines. I can see why the corner of the glass failed. The LRB mixture doesn't seem to bond to glass very well. I even used an epoxy paint on the glass first. I think LRB is best on wood or concrete, not glass. Should listened and used silicone. I think first I'm going to cover the entire interior of the glass with permaflex. It seems to stick to the glass very good. If it fails again, I'll have to excavate and use silicone somehow.

leak fixed. I found the issue. It was my fault. I found a sloppy spot in the LRB that had a bit of a cavity that wasn't covered in permaflex. Remember, there were 4 drunk guys setting that glass, and 2 of us had our hands in the lrb spreading. I just re-sealed it and it looks good. Still not happy about the adhesion of the lrb/permaflex to the glass. I cleaned it very good too. :irked:

So, another test fill tomorrow night. I guess this is what test fills are for though eh? LOL. Besides, it wouldn't be as much fun if it weren't for these "emergency" repairs... One other mishap was that the pump (2500gph) blew out of the slop sink while I was standing there and I got drenched! 2500gph can make a mess pretty quick!

My first fill on the 600 leaked and I was so po'd, when I calmed down I realized that I had forgot to shim one corner before filling. (Im sure the alcohol had a part in that.) Its the only corner that wasn't perfectly square. No leaks until after 3/4 full, then the pressure blew out my sillicone seam.

Point of the story is I guess some of us were meant to learn lifes lessons the hard way. At least thats how it is for me. Oh well, live and learn.

Good luck tomorrow.

Is There A Tool Or Attachment You Can Get For A Garden Hose Or Something To Measure Gallons Or Something...?
That's a good question. I bet there is, and boy it would be handy.
