The Jury is still out for me. I'm going to follow their recommendation and re-primer the glass with the free primer they're sending me, then use the LRB within 3 hours of priming and re-cover everything in permaflex. If it holds, great, if not, I'm going to strip down the existing LRB/permaflex and glass primer, then install a wood retainer strip, silicone the glass to the wood retainer, and permaflex over the wood up to the silicone. I don't know if I'd recommend using sanitred at this point. I'd like to see someone do something like my tank but with pond armor and silicone.



As of now, I'm leaning toward 5 silver aros, a shoal of silver dollars, a shoal of angelfish a CK and some convicts. I think I'm going to avoid oscars.

I hope the guys at Sanitred are reading this and taking note. When your done, if your opinion of Sanitred and that of The Fish Guys is unfavorable they can kiss my sale goodbye also. And it will be a large one. I'll look into Pond Armour or the old fiberglass/epoxy. My project will be using acrylic windows though. Let us know how it works out.

Totally agreed. I've been pricing around for a DIY 500-600 gal house foundation tank and if they don't do the right thing, they'll have some huge losses in their quarterly earnings.

Power to the consumer. Without us, they'd have nothing.

I've got a 27" TSN with a HUGE appetite and I'm afraid to feed it by hand LOL and another but he's mine, tame as a dog that one is..... So is the RT, he's a lover not a fighter LOL Those two seem to only eat when I feed them by hand and they're both 22" when last measured....
