Building a 1500 Gallon plywood & glass tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what kind of bracing are you going to use to brace the top of the tank, mainly in the center ? 4"x4"s running front to back ? how many braces do you have planned to use, to prevent bowing ?

Just curious, since pond armor can be used on plywood, why did you decide to use plywood AND concrete board? Just for the extra added strength?

Oh, and great build! Wish I could do something similar in my house, but it's too small...

this is looking very sweet

VERY nice project. I love the pace you are working at. You're not tanking months to do this. It's nice to see a sweet project move right along. Keep up the good work.

Most likely 2 or 3 2x4s running front to back.

Butch at Pond Armor suggested it.

OK. If the maker suggests it, then I guess that's what you ought to do, eh? That is going to be one indestructible tank frame, I'll give you that:)

I can't wait to see it completed... it makes me so jealous!
