I have a year to a year and a half left and right now though which so far things are moving along at a good rate. Right I''m setting up plans to move out and looking at this one cool looking house that has five acres of land on it. There was even a different house I looked at that had a giant 30 to 40 foot long 18 foot wide ten foot deep dry abandoned swimming pool in the back yard of it which kind of had some potental.

I plan to buy the house and then build a 1000 to 2000 gallon cinder block tank in the back of it's garage on top of the part where the cars park in it and have it look into the basement of the house that is behind the garage. During the last year I have been asking companies how much these large sheets of aylic go for and have learned that a four foot tall eight foot wide sheet would about the maxium I could safely afford starting out.

As for building the super tank idea I think I would start building a few years after I see how the house and the town are working out.
But I'm also woundering about the legal side of building a fishroom in that I still would like to build some kind of large tank project such as I would have a shop added to the back yard of the house for a large room for my train set and a large fish tank that would devide the room in half. As for the legal side of this I'm studying Urban planning at school so I kind of wounder what types of zoning laws would be for something of this nature. In that the town I'm looking has it where all housing renovations have to go before the town concil and have building permits. So for that I think that if the day comes when I build the giant tank I might as well go for the biggest condering it most likely will shock the town concil with the idea of it. As for building the tank I might think about the prefabracated pored cement forms and have a big box with some viewing windows in the side of it.

Currently right now someone wants to give me three Kio they are getting rid of and I'm planning out a 1000 gallon hourse watering tub for them for the spring and summer.

If you go out and try to build a 10,000 gallon or a 20,000 gallon do the filtering demands of it start to level off of you go on to 40,000 and 70,000 gallons?

I didn't get a chance to re-read through it all but do you still have your Planiceps?
My present one I got from Jerry Draper/Sheldon Tropical Fish Room in Brantford Ontario. It was 28" when I got it in 2006 and had been raised in an indoor pond. It is an estimated 44" now. So it has grown approx 16" in 60 months. It's diet is mainly african cichlids with a few barbs and central american cichlids for dessert. Although the tank is fed with about 25 lbs of mackerel, herring, salmon and/or smelts each week it is not strong enough to muscle in on the Wallago's and Phractocephalus hemioliopterus for the big chunks.

Does your 15,000 gallon tank take less work and time then the 50,000 gallon as a fish tank or once you go to a cirtain size amount of time you have to spend taking care of them the is same.

Such as if I go though the trouble of building a 10,000 gallon tank would it be the same amount of work to go up to 40,000 and 70,000 gallons then?
