Does your 15,000 gallon tank take less work and time then the 50,000 gallon as a fish tank or once you go to a cirtain size amount of time you have to spend taking care of them the is same.

Such as if I go though the trouble of building a 10,000 gallon tank would it be the same amount of work to go up to 40,000 and 70,000 gallons then?
Filtration time is double because the bigger tank has 2 filters and the small tank has only one.

The filters take about 15 to 20 minutes each at present and just consists of agitating the beads and rinsing. The tanks are on a constant slow water change cycle of about 2,000 gallons a day at present. Wc's have always been flexible and I have used several different methods.

I want to see pictures of your pond build please.

I'm planning on buying the 1000 gallon watering tank around late March or the middle of March after I get some funds ready for it. I'm looking into buying a solar powered pond pump for it in that my house has no outside outlet to plug a regular pond pump into. The Kio I'm getting are three six to eight inch Kio that live at a 300 to 500 gallon Ag class hourse watering bucket.

I was looking at a 80 gallon a minute one so far that is $90 dollars I thinking about having it operate a fountain filter with a small filter and fountain. The pump has the solar planel and the pump incuded so far. I haven't bought anything yet though for it.

My buddy Rusty Wessel was a speaker at the Durham Aquarium Society Annual Dinner at the Toronto Zoo on Feb 19th. Of course Rusty spoke about Central American cichlids and Livebearers his 2 favourites. He spoke of collecting in Mexico and brought a few bags of fry from some of the wild caughts he keeps in his 2 storey 1400 sq foot Fish room. I was fortunate to land a few bags of his great cichlids at the auction.

On the following day he visited my house with Viral Surati (originally from Chicago) a manager at United Pet Groups and a collector of lake Tanganyikan cichlids and James Martin a former Big Al's manager and a collector of Malawi cichlids. My buddy "Fever" Terry Clements ( Malawi and Tanganyika breeder) from Fergus Ontario was also over to visit.
