I would say that proves the theory about lack of nutrition, that pacu should be 3 times that big at that age, and that fish does not weigh close to 20 pounds.

hey look at it from another point of view. if it can live for 41 years then it must have been ok for the fish. so cheer up.

I love pacus.... but am not gonna use this story for inspiration.

I guess since this guy feeds only gold fish that the pacu will never make it to see his 100th birthday.

Personally I would have to have a fish that I have kept alive for at least 20 years before I would have the balls to say word one to this guy.

Just my thoughts but I give him kudos for keeping buttkiss alive for that long despite what proper protcol would be for tank size with a pacu.
