Got the 3 sheets of glass for the front windows. some fellas my dad works with are good for metal fabrication so one sheet's gone off there with frame designs to get them built.

Cut a couple of poly boxes up to insulate the side, now need more to destroy for the back. Looks like a massacre in a snowman factory out there.

Window frames being fabricated from 3mm thick 16mm angle iron. Will be covered in silicone to protect it. Hopefully have them before Christmas.

The frame is currently full of old poly boxes waiting to be carved for insulation before i order the inside cladding and get started on that. Now looking at 18mm (3/4") MDF as i'm linering it, not painting it.

Have Tarpaulin already for 2 of the liners, just leaves the good strong black pond liner left to sort out.

Progress is slow.

Poly box insulation in, negotiating with my dad to 'borrow' his services to help me pick up MDF sheets for the inside this weekend.

My small barbs are out of Mrs Satan's tank now so she can have her africans, so i'm going for the most over filtered tank award with a Eheim 2217 running 250gph through a 10gal (i think) hex.

Progress still slow.

MDF for cladding the inside is here but the shaved chimp in B&Q didn't listen closley to the measurements i asked him to cut them too so everything is a few millimeters too big and doesn't fit straight in like it's supposed too. Hand planned the edge of one sheet today that fits in the bottom and took an hour and a half and a bucket of sweat to just get it to drop in place with a little 'gentle pursuasion' (Big hammer.)

New plan: borrowing more power tools. My dad says he has a power planer somewhere in his endless wonder shed of tools so that should speed it up a bit.

Not really, work's taking up to much time! Everytime i walk through there i think 'i really should do something here!' Haven't heard back from the guy building the window frames yet either. Could probably finish it all off in a couple of days if i had all the parts and the right tools.

Been a while but finally done some more on it. Just stopped as drill batteries all dead again. Started getting the cladding on the inside to support the liners. The frames for supporting the glass windows have been made and will be picking those up after new year.

Also, had a power outage on Christmas eve and got some very clear flash nocturnal pictures of the fish in the pool while there was no filter flow to break the surface. Enjoy.
