Just a few questions. How did your dovi, jag, rd and oscar get along before they went into the pool? What size tank were they in? How are you going to seal the liner to the window? Looking great so far, I hope to do something similar next winter.

Just fine, the jag was my first big cichlid, the RD was added at a similar size and there was no aggresion between them. The dovii and O were added later as juvies and as such have always been the bottom of the pecking order.

180gal. Hopefully they'll be getting put back in this when the tank is set back up again, the pond is supposed to just be for Catfish and pacu.

I'll explain that with pictures when it gets done! I do have a tube of stick-to-anything pond sealer which i'm hoping will do the sealing.

The metal work arrives, aluminium strips to brace across the top and steel frames for the windows, holes already counter sunk in for screw fixing into the wood frame of the pond. Test fit of glass to make sure they fit....and they do. When finished in the pond the steel frames and screws will be completely covered in silicone so there shouldn't be a rust issue.

First Tarpaulin goes in. Hopefully have the second and third in by the end of the day and a few inches of water in the bottom before fitting the windows to make sure they are actually water proof!
