Joking m8, good call on the tarp not holding, its only 1 lil bit so like satan said it is fixable, if it were me i would drain (again) dry it all up and reseale that join and yeah next time fill it whilst pushing it up. I would unsecure the opposit side so it gives you room for movement ;)

Theres gona be alot of new fishys in this pond satan

Ok . Just read that the tarp pulled tight and came away at the windows . Remember earlier I said to put a few inches of water in the bottom before sealing and some no it all said I was wrong . Well now I would like to take this opertunity to say I TOLD YOU SO to the person that said I was wrong . This is exactly the situation I was giving advise to avoid . Rant over . Let see if he has a answer to that one . Sorry Satan but my good advise was shot down avfew pages ago when I simply looked at what you were doing and knew this would happen . My reason for saying you should add avfew inches if water was to push the liner and tarp home before cutting and sealing .

oh I found the bit where someone said I was wrong .
Sooooo . Add a inch of water next time Satan x x

Looking good anyway bud .I am off to the Asian arowana section now to find out about my new red fish (smile)And if your interested I would like my hand feeding big datniod to go to a good home when your pond is finished x
To be fair i did expect it to happen, would have been nice if it hadn't! I put the tarp in there too tight so that when the water went in the weight would pull it tight and draw the wrinkles out (I think i went a little overkill on the tightness, it's away by about an inch on the window i pictured and has come away from the other 2 slightly:irked:) It isn't a major set back and at the front there where it can't be seen it's just protecting the liner from bitey teeth! The patching will probably be done on Tuesday when i'm back from work. When the water level gets above that point now it'll probably flood behind the tarp and relieve all the water weight pressure on it. The liner undernieth was not pulled tight like that, it weighs too much to start with!

And what's this 'next time'?! Please don't make me do it again!

How big's the dat?

That black pond liner sealing stuff is good to set underwater, and that's about all i've got left in the way of sealant so none of the water needs to come out. Paving slabs for standing the filters on the bottom will go in at the same time, sod trying to do that through 3 feet of water!

Depending on the size and type of fish they may end up in the tank when that's set back up to avoid being fluffy's lunch (he does like his Asian food)

See PM.

I'll be quite glad when this is all done now and i can tidy the house properly! Predicting 6 window leaks to patch, 2 per window. And that's me feeling optomistic:(

I used unconsciously singing to myself very loudly and badly a lot when i was long distance driving more often (can't beat muse in a strong Norfolk accent:headbang2)

Any news on if/when you're getting your new cat? has the financial dictator- i mean advisor released the money for you?
Its proving to be more difficult than i origionally thought m8, if she would let me use the cash i could have the fish by next week but its causing a few ripples so im not going to rock the boat just yet ;) I have all the initial stuff sorted, its just a case of paying the guy and walla we have liftoff ;)
