Next came the mechanical filter, this received it's first cleaning ever during the move, it had a lot of poo in it!

During removing it, i kept feeling something chewing at my leg........

Also, as i was putting it back together in the pond mrs satan noticed a leak at the bottom of the right hand window:( this was quickly mopped up, we think (hope!) it's just water from the filter sponges and bits as they were stood on the corner above this point and just leaked down. However i'm watching it very closely now with my normal high level of paranoia!:nilly:

Finished putting mech filter back together, heaters were placed into the intake pipe as per before. Whole filter system now built. As more water goes in i'll place more brick beneath each box to keep it raised up.

and now the bit everyone wants to see: FISH BEING MOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Measured the first few that came out, but this started to prove annoying and awkward when fluffy came out so gave up on that idea.

Pictures of them in their new home.

And some more.

Next job is to start taking the water out of the paddling pool and topping up the pond, should be getting more bricks tomorrow for the filters so can start slowly doing that then.

Once it's safely full and not leaking i'll work on a proper lid.

satan ur brick work looks good but me worried a nudge here or there could end up in disaster.
Thanks mate, been waiting a long time for this day.

I am going to get some underwater sealant and stick the bricks together and it should all be more stable then.

Thanks dude.

In a few months time when it's all properly finished the Bio box and plant box will be supported above it all on a frame so no bricks that end. The mech filter and pump box will stay sat on bricks in there and the coloumn up the middle will too, but should all be stuck together properly. The brick levels are really no higher than they were in the paddling pool at the moment, and they did fine there.

I'm sure you could borrow my scuba gear, just need to blow the dust off it first;)
