I like the way you done that    if that was an attempt to sway my way of thinking then i will          somemore ;)

Oh btw, why the hell are you cutting chunks out of your wood like that lol just build the damn canopy allready will ya :D
Thought you'd like a new signature;)

Notching it out to keep it low but join well together, much higher an i'll be pushing bar hight.

Think my little RTC isn't a happy boy, he's looking a bit unhappy up by the filter intake and didn't eat earlier even though i held a lump of fish right in front of his mouth:( All the other fish seem fine.

:headbang2Guess work pays off!

Proper PITA to drop in and remove to guestimate where the notches were needed but it's all good. Was worried about short tab at the left hand end snapping while chiselling out the notch but it's holding strong.

Just one last bit to go.

HMMMM u seem to like playing with jigsaws

I got no idea why you didnt just go for full length spars instead of the jigsaw puzzle
Couldn't fit anything that long in the car:( Plus they only came in 8ft lengths so i'd still have to join a couple together as the front and rear are about 10ft. It's all good fun re-learning a few old skills and some new ones;) Remembering what goes where once it's painted is the fun bit, it's only a 6 piece puzzle, how hard can it be?

Do you know how much you have spent on the project so far as i had a qoute for my full 15mm glass tank today.
Glad i was sitting down lol.

Bam Bam has a go at anything that drops in the water now, getting in there's getting risky if he's not been fed:WHOA:

I think i did work out the totals earlier in the thread, just need to add £40 for more black pond liner sealant (one tube still unused) and the current 6 lengths of 89mm x 38mm wood and crazy over sized tub of ronseal (which will be used elsewhere in the garden) was another £40. Probably still a lot cheaper than a new 6x2x2 would have been:D

I can imagine a tank made out of 15mm glass being not cheap......Then there's the costs of getting it moved into place:eek:
