Sorry to keep derailling but your full of great info,i agree with you on the viewing window but dont fancy going the wood route,i could make a frame out of metal but could i get a fibreglass company to build the inside for me and somehow put the front glass in.
Ive never done anything like this so im clueless really on where to start lol

Shame you're not over here, i have the number for a very good fibreglass guy who also used to be a glazer! sounds like what you're after

I can't see a problem with going fibreglass in a metal frame, i was looking at fibreglass stock tubs that i would have had to build a wooden frame for when i started this. Wouldn't have taken too much imagination to get glass fitted in the side of them for a viewing window, just find someone competant with fibreglass (look in yellow pages or for a boat builder.)

Pictures of the blue fibreglass stock tubs i was looking at and their prices. Still tempted to get one, even the smallest is the equivalent of 300 gallons! The idiots have drilled through the bottoms to fix them to a new railing now though The biggest one with a window might be perfect for you.

Ok huni, won't be until at least the weekend anyway, gotta get these last pieces painted up yet. I'll try to remember to talk to derek about the roofing when i see him later in the week, i think dad's finally bringing the landrover back on Sunday so can head back over for the roof panels next week hopefully if he still has them.
