Trtied making a video of the 160g but it was too light, too much reflection off the glass. I'm on early starts all week (4am) so you'll have to wait for the weekend for a video of the 160g.
Here's an update on the 210g: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z202FEl4eTE
I've come up with a long-term plan that I think I'm happy with, but can't be bothered detailing it as I'll probably change my mind again. Will have 3 tanks this size across the back wall though, the second will be ordered in the next few weeks thanks to all the overtime I've been doing!

Finally something worth updating!! I've just confirmed with a tank maker that my new tank will be getting built next week. Its 240cm long, 97cm wide and 63cm high, roughly 370g. This will be the big South American tank I've been wanting since I started keeping fish 10+ years ago. It was a tough decision but I have decided to sell my big fish (aro, dats, ornate) and keep the clown loaches in the 210g and a pair of festae in the 160g (currently growing out 8 juvis).
I'm going to do a simple polystyrene background in the tank, and it will be sitting on a low stand (about 400mm) so its the ideal height for viewing while sitting on a couch. I haven't decided on the final stock yet, but the main fish will be my group of altifrons, along with uaru, rotkeil sevs, angels, and various catfish.

Very exviting but a lot of work to do! Thank goodness I've got a 4 day weekend coming up.....

Tank being delivered tomorrow, had a rather busy day today moving the festaes 80g and the 40g angel/catfish tank and building the stand for the 370g.

Two tanks gone, soon to be replaced by one...

Stand is going to be two of these frames sitting on top of each other, with a 50mm sheet of poly on top for a total height of 450mm, ideal for viewing while seated.

Putting the last screws into the second frame. I'll add a nicely varnished fascia on the front and sides after the tank is in place.

Hannah couldn't help but take a few pics of the clown loaches all piling up in one end of the tank begging for food...

Hey Dave How much did you hafta give for the metal/black powder coated stand? Everything looks great!

Thanks, the stand was part of a whole package deal, cost a bit more than a timber one would have but at the time I needed it ASAP and didn't want to go through the dramas of making one. I'm planning on making another stand the same height as the 370g and relocating the sump through the wall into the garage, then both tanks will be at the same height and the room should be nice and quiet.

Awesome idea putting the sump in the garage. Gotta keep the lady happy w/ a quiet house. I love the loach shot!
