(sorry to make it sound confusing) You might be ok. Test it in a bucket to see if it restarts. When it stops draining, add more water to the bucket to see if it drains more water without your help.
Thanks, I used something called Krylon fusion. I didnt actually know what kind to get but I searched the threads and thats what everyone here seems to recommendsoggysandwich;478935; said:looks good. did you paint the pvc? if so what kind of paint did you use?
Okay I was looking through this again, Why would I need two of them? If the power shuts off? 1 wouldnt flow enough?CHOMPERS;478822; said:Since you will be moving a lot of water it will be wise to use two. There is safety in redundancy. Just ask my wet carpet...
edit: I was agreeing with rally but was not aware of issues with larger piping...don't see why though
Oh okay, I think I understand, Thanks ethnicsethnics;485197; said:you dont NEED two, just more flow if u have a stronger return pump. each of your overflows should be around 5-600gph so havin two would mean it could support atleast a 1000gph pump wih proper headheight
I'm quoting this big because I didnt listen to this. I put 1, 1" overflow on my 125g. My mag 9.5 was starved for water and would not function right. I had to build another overflow and attatch with a "T" My tank now cycles perfectly (at least from my newb opinion )ethnics;485197; said:you dont NEED two, just more flow if u have a stronger return pump. each of your overflows should be around 5-600gph so havin two would mean it could support atleast a 1000gph pump wih proper headheight
