diy overflow

I did use a pump to prime and then try to get better flow. I don't want to use a pump all the time because it needs to work in a power outage and I don't want to run pumps in this many tanks.

I must be doing something wrong to have such a low flow. I am going to build another test unit for a larger tank and see if I get a different result. In theory i know this should work.

mine has been on my 75 gal since 2-5-06 and have never had any problems
post up a pic of yours so maybe i can get some insight on what your problem may or may not be

I assume that you're talking about the check valve on top and you can get those at pretty much any fish store (including the chain stores)

You'll see it right beside the PVC glue. You'll need to use it before you glue it.

does anyone know the flow rates of pvc pipe. I have a 135g tank and was thinking about using 1" pvc. Anyone know the gph flow rate i would get?
