started cementing mine just now and the pipes arent completely sraight/parellel will this matter?

No you would have to be so far out it wouldn't fit in the tank anymore, other than for a couple of critical things (location of the T, height of the internal overflow opening) they are pretty forgiving of small build errors.

If something isn't quite right you can always use a hot air gun to heat the pvc and make small adjustments.

Alright cool.
"height of the internal overflow opening" why is this critical I thought as long as its not above the water line it would be alright?

because it dictates the water level.

It depends on the height of your tank. 1.5" will flow 1200 gph on a good day, so you are good to go with 800 gph.

the top of my tank rim is about 55" , tank itself is like 25" from bottom to top (dont know it that matters). Im just unsure if I want all the tank space taken up by the PVC.

Use one inch pipe. The three quarter inch pipe will do the job but in time they grow gunk inside and the flow slows. They can't be cleaned unless you remove them and soak them in bleach. Also, as you approach the flow limit of the pipe air ingestion becomes a problem.

Your Rio 600 will do nicely. It will give you between five and six turnovers per hour.

The sump will be like 5' under the tank. Will it pump the water up that high?

I believe a rio 600's max head height is ~3'.

So another words it wouldnt work?

Find the pump curve chart on the manufacturers website and post it or the link here. I'll tell you what it will do. Three feet sounds impractical; the chart was probably in meters.

If you already have the pump, take it outside and hook it up to a hose. Put the pump in a bucket of water and turn it on and see how high it will pump.
