have you got the filter portion of this built yet I like the Idea you have here and love the fact everything is contained in the tank without looking odd. keep up the good work. what do you mean your tied up by having family in town? thats extra hands to put to work and get the job done.

Alright, next to zero progress over the long weekend... had family in town and wound up doing a lot of drinking... now I need a week to recover. Anyways, I had an idea for the detail around the window during the downtime so it wasn't a total waste. I have to study for a job interview a whole bunch this week, but there will be bits and bytes of progress on this tank and the other one I'm building.

Thanks! I just got informed I have to get on a plane friday morning to be there for it. :nilly:. Needless to say I didn't sleep a lot last night. I want this job pretty badly, I want to get this tank full of water before it starts though, so I can set it up in the new place without doing a ton more work.

OK, been neglecting this for a bit. Had to do a bit of business there this weekend, and last weekend was all family, but in the gaps I've crammed a bit of work. I gelcoated the edges around where the windows will go, I stained the rest of the stand, and I routed a 1/4" chamfer into the window frame, exposing the light wood underneath. I will urethane over the entire exterior, so the white hilight stays visible. Nice touch if you ask me ;)
