the building out of ply wont be a prob but the fiber glass worrys me

OK here's some pics. There's not much to look at. Still need to make lids and put some lights on it. Have a plan for lids, but I haven't decided on lights yet. Rona has a sweet 6 tube T5 light fixture for $200. It's crazy bright, but I don't really need that kind of wattage for this tank. I'll hopefully think of a proper solution to the pumping situation while I'm building the lids.

Looks cool. What do you plan on stocking it with? Sorry if you said it in the thread, I skipped through it. Might be making a 144lx36wx30h plywood tank. Just want to get ideas of what people are stocking things of these size with.

I just spent about an hour reading most of this thread. The tank is amazing. Someday maybe ill get to make something remotely close to being this nice.

yes, do tell! I cannot wait for the guy to get a new home!!

Well I went out of town for 5 days and only one feeder was dead when I got back. Not bad for feeder statistics. Then I turned the pump on and heard a bang and a little shower of gloden scales came out the pump outlet, so we're at 18/20 so far ;)

lol been watching this build for a while cant wait to see the monsters in it awesome work. sorry about the feeders at least yours will get ate mine (for my turtles) ended
up gowing up almost eight inchs

I had a giant feeder like that once. He started out as a fish in my stepdaughter's pint sized bowl, and I took pity on him and put him in a 5gl, and shortly thereafter as the first occupant of my 200, thinking he'd get eaten. That ridiculous garbage guts animal was nearly 10" long when he died.
