By the time I got him in there, he was suuuuuper pissed off and I was soaking wet, but I don't think I hurt him too bad.

What did you end up using to move him? The pillow case trick?

Big guy looks nice and healthy. Looks to be about 2 footish?

yeah I used a pillow case that I kind of modified... I cut the top ring off a bucket and threaded that into the 'lip' of the pillow case to hold it open. I also cut about half of the other end open, so I could get him nose into the pillow case while holding the end shut, then let him swim out in the new tank. Worked like a charm, the only problem was he got VERY upset when I first tried to get him to go in there. It never ceases to amaze me how strong and fast they can be in fight or flight mode!

The foreshortening effect of the glass makes him look a bit smaller than he actually is. I measured him a few months ago when I brought him home at 28".

Oh and predictably, the 15 goldfish that were in there when he went in are now 3 goldfish, so he can't be too much the worse for wear!

Nice. I was gonna guess larger then the 24 that I did since I was using your fingers for reference. I was being kinda conservative. Didn't want to post up some nonsense about your 9' catfish.

Muni, its not nice to speculate about the size of a mans... catfish.

<grin>

He looks great in that tank! Looks like you have room for a couple more, any interest in picking up another cat or two?

I thought it was flattering.

He sure does have room to play. Any other stock planned in addition to the TSN and dwindling gold fish population?
