tstove check out Thecatfishnation.com
these guys are all about catfish and fish all sorts of PA and MD waters

thats a cool site, hopefully one day i can get a boat and get into one of those tourneys.

I went out late tonight and caught abouut 5 cats, and multiple perch but nothing good. I was fishing with two hooks on my line, and two times i pulled my line up with 2 catfish on it. I am tempted to try soap as a bait like the guy from river monsters lol

the catfish nation guys are an awesome group of guys really looking to promote and advance the hobby. They are more then willing to try and help whenever they can. When my boat was out of comission one of the members made room on their boat so my father and i could fish on it. It was a little embarassing to be showed how to fish my own river by a bunch of out of towners but it was still fun, nice to know that those big fish are still around.

as far as soap goes, ive never tried it. Ive heard it works but never looked into it.

I went fishing in the Long Island Sound for about an hour today. I didn't get anything big but here are some pics. A northern searobin, porgy/scup, a fluke, and a bait-stealing crab.

Spots fished-1

Time fished-5 hrs

Fish landed-I-3/Dennis-3

We both got off work early and the hunt was on at 4pm. "Carnegie" gave up the first fish on the second cast! After that the bite was slow but Dennis was killing them with the crank bait. We landed the same amount but he let two monsters get off. I'm relieving that when the bank is closed the crank bait can by very effective!!

P.S.- Look at my cousins 6 month old monster!!!

Slow day but I had fun!!!

Spots fished-1

Time fished-10 hrs

Fish landed-I-3/Dennis-4

Well again at "Carnegie" the crank bait is killing the buzzy but then again the water is 85 DEGREES. Anyway Dennis hopped out on a 3 to nothing start. I stayed clam and was finally able to land one on the buzzy around 9:30 it was just a small one but after 3 hours of nothing it felt good. It was ok cause my next fish was a monster 4.0 that jumped on the spinny!!! My third & forth fish were both small ones that liked the dinger. After Dennis missed a very nice two pounder at the boat on the chartter bait he was able to close the deal on the next one that liked the chartter bait. Bringing the score to 4-4. The bite went away but as we were headed in Dennis landed a small yellow perch and missed another decent bass on that dam crank bait!!

Super slow day but atleast I hit the 4lb club!!!!
