Fishing is the ish!!!
well my updates are boring....just catching catfish and perch and some small 8-9 inch stripers..........
but i decided to go fish tonight. Got there around 8 and stayed until 1030. There was one guy fishing with me the whole time. At around 10 i heard a whole bunch of popping noises which i thought were fireworks, but the guy told me that there was a shootout going on a couple blocks away. A couple minutes later we hear a whole bunch of sirens. I ended up staying and fished the rest of my bait then peaced.....................just another day fishing

Very frustrating day!!!! there were so many HUGE bassand i kept on missing them! in the end i only caught three skinny 13 inchers.

Caught a pretty 10 inch smallmouth and some bluegilll I broke my brand new bamboo fly rod whille settting the hook on a bluegill NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Lost one of the wooly buggers i had made setting the hook on a redeye (it was so exiting) Caught another one later on. two bluegill and a shiner.

One of the funnest trips ever. We camped by a beautiful river and at 5 30 set out to fish i had to walk a ways and when i got there i realized i had forgotten my rods so i walked a half an hour back and it was light by the time i got back. I worked a stretch that i hadnt fished before and had so much fun wading waist deep in the super clear water fly fishing with a wooly bugger. First fish was an 11 inch LMbass. I caught a few gorgeous bluegill And then hooked into a very nice smallmouth. it was only 11 inches but it was a blast to fight on light tackle. i was really happy. I caught a few rockbass and then spooked the bass out of there rock i decided to go farther down the river into unfamiliar water. I walked down and caught another rockbass and continued i was on the bank when a 18 skinny largemouth swam out of cover i casted to him and i watched him gulp it down!!!! i set the hook and fought him u ntil he threw the hook. Oh well. i caught a few small bass and some blugill and continued downriver caught a really nice rock bass he probably weighed a pound and a half and was twelve inches.

This is the real ghetto that you dont hear about. This is a very small city but the stuff that goes on is crazy. I was down there today and a man about 22 years old comes up to me and whips out 4000 cash and asks me if he can buy his car off of me?....i said no and he then says well we can trade if you want. While i was down there, i pulled up a pay as you go phone which the dealers use and then just toss into the river. I see people with guns fishing down there all the time but as long as you are not trouble, then they will respect you. I pulled this gun out of there last summer.... and that is the spot where i fish. Its sad to see it all go down hill and all the gangbangers but it does not look like there is much being done. PA likes to hide this city and doesnt akknowledge much with what goes on
went yesterday for a few hours panfishing before the rain started. caught 16 total, a mix of bluegill, green sunfish, and war mouth. missed a nice bite on my catfish rod and 2 blow ups on the scum frog.
