Today I bought 2 pieces of gar. I bought them with the name Lepisosteus ocellatus. Is it really "ocellatus"? I think it's Lepisosteus platyrhincus. You advise me?

most likely to be Florida gar(Lepisosteus platyrhincus) since you are in slovakia!

because the fish is most likely farm raised and Florida gar is being breed in farms a lot while I don't think there is any farm that breed spotted gar to sell!
