George the GG, how old are your GG's?

As he's not posted I'll guess, looks around 12-15'' which will make it roughly 3 years old, depending on diet and care. Can't be specific without more info

Huh...Makes what around 3yrs old? My RtGG's went from 3~4 inches too 15~16 inches on the males and 8~10 inches on the females, in less than 10 months. So following your figures it must have taken them like 26 months to go from hatchlings to 3~4inches.

Anyone here in the NYC area, and would like an adult Balas Shark and a mini-Pink Convict - female.

I think that I will only seek to rid myself of only two of my RTGG's and I will keep the other two until which time they grow to the size that will require that I usea forklift to move them or that they cause the tank to split it's weakening seams whichever comes first.

Master I see your in a great mood this evening I have no info on size so I guessed based on my experience, my fish was 3'' on pick up(in shop conditions), took about a year to hit 10-12'', roughly an inch per month then the slow down, I was using conservative estimates based on the knowledge at hand

actually, 10 1/2 inch from head to end of tail. is that how you measure length of a fish?

9 inch from my post on 2/11 so that makes a growth of 1 1/2 inch in less then a month

In that case at 10.5'' would make it about a year old, give or take a few months.

At that size 1.5'' per month is normal with good diet

i guess my GG is not a baby anymore

came home today and saw a missing piece of fin on GG, i guess 2pac (pacu) went gangsta crazy

got a fluval 405 and surprise how clear the water is. any suggestion on filtration to put in it?

I love giant gouramy. I think they are awesome. I'm not sure why they aren't more popular than they are.

I use the ceramic bits that come with it. and lots and lots of carbon lol.

I think they are not too popular because of their size and the waste they produce. Have you seen when they poo........ BOMBS AWAY!
