I too just bought an acrylic to add to my collection, what is the foot print of your 225?gabzak;2786803; said:I just purchased a 225 gallon acrylic to ad to my 90 gallon glass aquarium. The problem was the guy i bought the tank from installed this into his wall and had tiles cemented on. It took several hours of picking but now have all tiles and adhesive off... I am looking for suggestions for lighting and sumps for the 225 gallon tank ( reef ready).
As far as lighting goes, I'm going with a DIY canopy and I'm going to install 2 or 3 strings of LED Christmas lights...Less heat and less power consumption, plus I can get more coverage with less wattage...
jcardona1 did a DIY moonlight using blue LEDs. He used coax cable hangers to secure the sockets and bulbs in place.
I'm going white bright LEDs on mine using the same mountings....
