100% RTG. IMO they don't need tanning. Intensity of gold will come out with age and good care. White light or warmer white should make the gold stand out more especially when it's an adult with full colors.Just an update four months later, it’s about 8-9 inch now. Haven’t done any tanning, feeding MP and porpoise pellets, with the occasional frozen brine shrimp and blood worms. WC 10-15% every week. I can’t seem to lower the ph to 6-6.5 though, the tank has stabilized to 7.2 - 7.6. The scale rims look a lot more golden, but the light is throwing me off. Sometimes I feel the rims are pinkish gold. Towards the tail end some of the scales even have specks of purple. What do you guys think?
