Yes indeed! Turning that corner and knowing that the shortest day is behind us is always a nice emotional and mental "boost". :)

Our temps are up in the -20C range for daytime highs...our insane snowfall has finally petered out...and the temperature is forecast to rise for several days, up to something like -8C a week from now. Woohoo! Time to set up the lounger on the deck and dig out my Crocs and Speedo!
I can't imagine wearing Speedos in those temps would be particularly flattering, lol.

We have a nice phrase for Speedos over here in blighty, maybe you've heard it. We call them budgie smugglers!

"Budgie smugglers"!?!? That's cute!
Here in Canada we refer to them as "turkey tuques". :headbang2 Must be a regional thing...budgies are pretty small...

Admittedly, there is no temperature point at which they would be flattering on me...:)

The display on my car's dashboard reads 31 degrees but it feels much colder than that.

Is that Fahrenheit? Celsius? Kelvin???

I'm guessing Fahrenheit...Celsius would be a hot summer day, and Kelvin would imply that you are in interstellar space, so....it makes a big difference! :)

I have never seen a dash display that referred to any of those other options but I guess I should have clarified anyhow?

I just went outside to get the mail, bring the trash can back and fill the bird feeders and it's 40F, damp and feels colder than that. Thursday is supposed to be rainy and mid 40'sF and Friday morning the temp is supposed to drop to the low 20'sF and winds in the 50-60 MPH range with snow starting to fall.

Okay, maybe Kelvin is a little bit "out there" :), but don't vehicles down in the states allow you to select F or C?

.....no idea,I've never had to make such a selection in any vehicle that I've owned.

Unless you're driving around in Fred Flintstones cave mobile you should have the option on your "vehicle settings" to alter stuff such as temp readout.

Nope,I drive around in a 6.4 liter V8 gas hog and I didn't say that the car didn't have the option,I simply never had reason to look into it since it already tells me what I need to know.
