The weenie roast continues...DC hit 104 degrees straight up today. It might be fall before I can use my patio at all. Severe thunderstorm warning again today for this evening.

Love a good thunderstorm!!! Low 80's ( Jexnell Jexnell ) sounds very pleasant, although I'm sure the humidity is pretty high.

Longest heat wave on record, and just to add salt to the wound, the wild fires are raging again.

AQHI - Map (alberta.ca)

10+ is the highest (poorest) air quality rating given. At 7, we shut down outside air intake into our buildings at work. (hospital ratings)

We have a tropical storm. Lots of rain, not much wind yet.

I live in the Statesboro/Brooklet area. Idk about you in Pembroke but here in Brooklet, we're flooded. A neighbor down the road has 2-3ft of water in their house currently. I live on Lee street and a lake a few houses has overflowed onto the road and the wetland area has flooded, leaving around 3ft of water on the road. It's midnight currently. Just went for a walk/swim to check on the block. Still pouring down rain. Few trees fell but no damage other than severe flooding. Many roads are closed here, and our backyard is now a lake. Caught two banded watersnakes in my backyard, though. One was 1ft 2in. other was 3ft. 9in. Around 2-4 ft of water just sitting in our yard.

Funny thing is the hurricane's name was Debby, and so is my mom's. And just like the hurricane, she destroys everything in her path.

We have creeks and stuff that are pretty high, but I haven't heard of any roads washed out like in your area, y'all's area got it pretty bad.

Plenty of rain out this way too,it's seems to have taken a break until later but it's done wonders for my front yard as the grass usually doesn't look this good this time of the year no matter how much I water it!
