I never said beef could make up for the genetic. Feeling ur flowerhorn beef can make the kok bigger than wat it can be. Gene is one and food is the second. The gene that already in the fish will give it a big kok but if u feed it beef the kok can get bigger. A lot of time it's depend on the food that u feed ur flowerhorn. I'm not saying that just feeding beef can make small kok to grow as big as the one with giant kok gene but with beef and gene it can make the kok grow bigger. I'm not saying to feed ur fish beef only. Too much proteins can mess up ur fish. But sometime u should mix up the food and give it something that pack a lot of proteins once in a while.

Yea you did right here
Have u ever walk into a aquarium store and their flowerhorn is only 2 inches and have a giant head? Well that how they do it they feed their fish a lot of proteins food but I only know 1 of the food is beef.
The genes that flowerhorn have from their parents is one way and the other is protein foods like beef. Ur fish might get more aggressive too after u feed it beef

You basically state that there are two ways to get a big kok. One being genetics and the other being protein. What are you basing this information on? Just hear say? Because you surly did even state an example of walk into a store and see two inch fh's with a "giant head".
You have no factual information to back up anything you say. You say one way is genetics and the other is high protein foods when you dont understand a fh is a omnivore and not a carnivore. Do you even know the % of protein content for a certain amount of beef when your willing to argue that a high protein diet in your words " The genes that flowerhorn have from their parents is one way and the other is protein foods like beef."? You state two ways and then say there's only one way when you're previous post says there's two ways? How do you know the protein content and relation to the growth of a kok? Please i'd love to hear it.
A protein content of 40% is perfectly able to sustain and let a fh grow to his full potential. I'll state again fh's are OMNIVORES, not carnivores, packing your fh full of protein does two things. 1). Shortens his life 2). And you can forget about water quality. This fh hobby and the "get a bigger kok secretes" make me sick, usually it shortens the life of a fh dramatically and the owner of the premature dying fh gives bs information to new people trying to learn how to take care of their fish. I hope no one listens to you because you sir are full of it.
