Update on the two breeders. Thankfully they didnt follow through and no eggs. Now I have confirmation that the one midas is female. The other midas probably male since the big guy chases it a lot and thinking the way the other Petsmart devil is left alone likely female. But time will tell.

Still waiting for growouts to put on some size to put into the 300 so we dont have another Sagittae mealfor the endli.

Some overdue updates on the growouts

My favorite of the midas:

Sagittae #1, pretty plain cream color with a hint of pink undertones

Sagittae #2, Affectionately being called Rudolph due to nose color. It Is very white in comparison to the other. This is the one I want to move into the 300.

Sweet! When did you get him/her? looks about 8-10 months old maybe? Love my girl. She is a feisty one and getting on to be 6 years old soon.

Pretty sure mine is male. Ive had it since April. Another hobbyist was getting out of the game. In fact he was the same one who my true midas fry came from. The trimac has been a little twitchy lately and spooks at the shadows in the garage. Does fine with lights on and likes to see me coming. I want to get some cheap dithers like convicts for it to calm down a bit. Its kind of strange the way it stares me down.

Rosie was twitchy and skidish when she was younger but since growing up she is a force and fears nothing. I’ve thought of putting ditherers but am assuming she’ll just eat them. I’m mostly basing that on the way she goes after the cat every time he comes near her tank.

Thanks for that info, I was getting a little discouraged with him. But he is just such a potential beast of a fish that I dont want to give up on him.

Sagittae 1 should be called "Custard."
