Ideas for an all Amphilophus tank....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The hope is for one male Sagittae out of the three. But it would be great if I got one white and one two-color out of it. I have so many orange fish growing out right now that I am looking for anything different.

Wow, those plants do look real! I love the pics of the old Hoga as well. I'm really debating between keeping the Hoga or the Chancho for the long run...Honestly, I'd like to get the whichever species I don't choose out sooner rather than later because like your setup, there are a lot of territorial disputes.

The old pics were actually not a hoga but what was considered a 'red Isletas' which looks like pretty much every other barred midas, lol. The only real difference I noticed with this line of 'red isletas' was that they all seemed to get massive nuchal humps.

Ahh I gotcha...yeah I've noticed mine have a red hue throughout their entire body, not just underside.

It was supposed to be just a quick visit for some frozen fish food and then I saw it... Another Petsmart red devil. One with an interesting pattern and color. I know it can all change with amph's but hoping its a male and that it retains the two colors.
