I feed at least 5-7 times per day. With the numbers I have, this is necessary. Water clarity is the key... maintain at all costs. If you notice a tinge to the tank, do a water change. I recommend Hikari micro pellets as they will not dissolve in the water. What my guys like the best is HBH Super Soft pellets with krill. I just pinch them up with my fingers and they go nuts for it, eating it before it hits the bottom. The HBH food is great as a staple even as they grow. I also pinch mealworms in half and let them eat them from the inside out, since they can't get through the outer shell. I also planted anacharis and red ludwigia which they eat readily, and as a bonus the plants help keep the ammonia and nitrates in check, helping babies to grow faster as waste inhibits growth. I also added swords to the tank to help with this biofiltration load. I think plants have a big part to do with why my tank is so healthy... all tests are where they should be.midnight;1061395; said:no one said "a day" lol
15 to 20 in all so far.
i fed a bit of live brine but ran out so im using frozen.
will go back to live soon as i can.
and how many times would you feed?
5 like said before is alot.
i been feeding twice a day.
I suppose quantity has everything to do with how often you should feed your fish. Quantity of fish and quantity of food that is. Also, some food dirties the water more than others. All the food is gone in less that 2 minutes when I do my feedings. I also have a few green corys in there to clean up just in case.JuanTamad;1061621; said:I never feed fries more than twice a day. It just takes too much water changes to keep them alive at that rate. At twice a day feeding I do very well with just twice a week of around 30% each time of water changes.
