Lots of pics past and present

Two absolutely gorgeous setups. I love the dwarves and festivums.

Those rheoheros are awesome too. Especially with the wild swordtails. Those almost look like coeruleus with the soft pastel blues. Thanks for sharing! Haven’t been on the SA/CA forum for a long time.

Thanks Mr Rob.

Festivum are my new favourite fish. I never bothered with them in the past but I love them now. Just need a few more.

Get some Hendre. You won't be disappointed
If only I had space and access. 99% of cichlids here are rift lakes or common "bruiser" types. You get the occasional kribs or other nice things but nothing like what you keep :(

The only thoryicthys available are firemouths now and again.

Nothing wrong with the common fish Hendre.
If housed in the right setting a common fish can look just as good as a rare fish.
It's how we house them that's important.

No that's perfectly correct, just very few more "peaceful" cichlids are available. My most wanted cichlid at this point is probably either Steatocranus sp "dwarf" or African butterfly cichlids :)

I was looking as some African butterfly cichlids last weekend. They were lovely, I really wanted some. Unfortunately I don't have a spare tank for them at the moment.

I've never even seen them here :(
I think a 90cm African jungle would be a grand tank, lots of plants :D

Wow just finished reading thru this thread what a great read. Took me a week but man did it make my week more enjoyable. Nice work real nice work your tanks r one of a kind. They r real eye openers, they way they r done is just perfection, nature at its best.
