Sounds interesting. What fish/inverts would you put in there? Crossed my mind to turn the 7 footer into a fish only marine tank just for lion fish. I am doing a planted marine tank as such, just got the tank cycled, got some microalgea arriving this week.

Yeah had a 5 ft and 6 ft marine tanks about 10 years ago. Never found it too difficult, live rock and a big protien skimmer.Seahorses always sound tricky to me. Mind you that was a long time ago, things may be easier now.
Have you kept marines before Dan. I used to keep them about 30 years ago. Back when undergravel filters were popular. I'm sure things are probably very different now.
