I've purchased fish super cheap that were thin thinking I could save them. But in my experience they never really fill out. They never get back to normal looking he could be even stunted. Hopefully you got it at super deal..

Actually I paid full price lol. I had pics of him from before shipping, he didn't look like this then. I'm hoping with how fast their metabolism is at this size he just withered during the pre ship starvation period. He's already visibly filled back out some. I'm optimistic he'll come around, but I'm not really holding out too much hope.

The problem is the "dent" in the back between the head and the dorsal fin. We call this "knifeback" and it is a very bad sign. But, since he is already eating so well, he should easily pull through!

Today- day 1 of pellet training- the skinny little brevis actually mouthed at some pellet chuhks! The forskahlii made a few false runs at a pellet, too.

Breaking the fatf might be trouble. He's obviously extremely hungry, but with no rosies left after last night he's taken to trying to take bites out of his tankmates. His false runs give me hope however, because if he doesn't go to pellets soon, he's probably gonna kill tankmates. He's doing a very good job of suppressing the brevis I might add.

Normally by day three the ATF will be taking pellet pieces from the barbs. I just hope everyone else can survive the fatf's voracity for a few more days! I can't get over how intense the appetite on these two new tigers is.

Pellet training is on hold. I'm terrified of forcing the starvation portion of pellet training onto the little maybe-brevis with how emaciated it is. Both babies are taking non-live food, but I'm thinking that pellets might have to wait until I can fatten up the baby.

As for the Tor I'm getting, all we know is that they're supposedly from India. We won't know what they are until I actually have them in my tank and can examine them in detail.

A lot of interesting things should be happening in Mad Max's kingdom in the next couple of weeks. Watch for updates on the 19th.

At least they're off live which is good. But wow sounds interesting. It would be awesome if they turned out being putitora. Can't wait to see what's next.
