By the way...me my self do keep one specimen at home....but i dont keep it in tank (put it in my water garden pond which is big enough for the fish to grow up..hehee).....
I keep it together with my Redtail GiantGourami, Albino GiantGourami, Sultana barbs, Emperor Snakehead (Channa Marulloides), Tinfoil Barbs and Irridiscent Sharks (Pangasius Sanitwongsei & Pangasius Pangasius).
Hmm to answer your question...YES there are some people who keep them in tanks.....but to find this fish in the local fish shop here in Malaysia...very very DIFFICULT!!
Infact in terms of the JUMBO size it can be...normally its very rare to find people keep it.Only a few aquaria got it....U want one?

I'm from a TV production company and we've been working consistently on a series called Monster Fish. I'm currently doing some research on the wallago and would like to know more about what are the best locations to find these fish, what are the best fishing months for the wallago and what are the chances of our host Dr. Zeb Hogan catching one of these huge fish.
Referring to the post above, I understand that arif_deto you keep one in your garden pond? Could I please have a phone number and email contact would love to speak with you more.
