Sounds awesome man. Get it goin. I'll be your cheerleader lol. I'll try to find a more attractive cheerleader for ya though. lol. Yeah when I was building the 4k I was for the most part alone. Moving that wooden behemoth around by myself really was crazy. lol. you got lazy friends. Ha I would love to help with something like this no matter how difficult. I'd grab all your cats out barehanded if need be. I guess I have one up on your friends though. lol. I have experience doing that kind of stuff. :) Too much talking. We need pics of you getting the kitties in your secrete cat house!!! lol

Heres the future kitty dungeon lol...its roughly 8'x12-14' and already coated walls, ceiling and floor in blue max just for humidity. uploadfromtaptalk1374118620180.jpg

Ive been debating if the walls can take the pressure but i think if i toss a liner on the floor...screw it into the walls and only fill about 18"-20" of water it should b fine.

Do the walls have dirt or air on the outside? I assume air with your comment lol. Also are they filled and reinforced? I would think that depth wouldn't really hurt either way, but I'm not 100% on that lol. Just do it and post the results haha.

looks awesome though. Seems like what everyone is always saying. Gonna waterproof my basement/garage/ect and put fish in it.

Oh yeah when you finish send me a ticket I'll help ya put the cats in lol.

The walls have dirt on two sides and air on two sides....i think i may be alright with even 12-18" full as someone just built a tank 36" tall and used 2 outside walls for part of the tank. But i guess well find out soon lol

Heres todays work...im beat at this point, been at it for around 14hrs. Got 3 salt 55's torn down and cleaned, fish moved and the new 500 stand in place. Not too sure about the placement but its the only spot i have left.

After

Im a bit mad theres a gas line behind the stand for a heater forcing me to put it 3-4" off the wall...i need every inch of free space i can get at this point lol...may have to remove it. Theres also a 65 gallon trapped in the corner now to the left of this stand im debating to move. Next step is hacking up my door jam and getting the 500 in then its smooth sailing to finish the 3k.

Just think about the strength of the blocks relative to glass thickness for a tank that size. 18" tall with 10mm glass is no sweat, 2' even, surely those blocks are strong as 10mm glass!?!
