The 450 hasent had any issues since the initial repair, i put in 1" square stock on all the inner seams and also a piece of 3/4" sheet on the bottom to cover the crack. Its been full for almost 4 years now. Id like to tear it down soon and go over it again but fingers crossed shes still holding out lol...the whole tank was repaired with weld-on #16 as i was unaware of better options back then. Ive since been repairing with weld on #40 a 2 part epoxy and its a hell of alot stronger than #16 so i just need to tear it down and give it a good reglue with #40 so i dont have to worry about it in the future. Another project to add to the list lol...it never ends

This is my latest project, turning a 55 acrylic into a reactor/moving bed for my ray. Overflow box needed cut out, new floor piece glued in and also some seam repairs due to seperation. All repairs are being done with weld on #40.

How do you clean the corners before the tip and pour to make sure the weldon has the best bond possible.

I clean/prep the acrylic with acetone or nail polish remover before the glue goes down. Sanding is also necessary for butting joints or laying on patch type piece like on the bottom patch i did but ive never sanded any of the inner seams before i glue. When the glue starts to cure it heats up alot kinda melting it into the sheets. Nail polish remover is my personal preference for cleaning glass or acrylic. acetone evaporates a bit too quickly on its own ime.

Heres its new home lol...already got it drilled with bulkheads. Just need to drill the existing sump box on the right to attach them together.

Nice. My advice the more water you are able to run in the reactor the easier it is for the media to roll.
