Why does MMA need little girls watching? Why couldn't they push some of their other champs like Aldo, the same way that they did with Rousey?
Weidman doesn't even have that much of a buzz after beating Silva twice and Machida. They keep ramming Honda down our throats to get peoples attention and it's working.
Why "shouldn't" they be there? You'd tell your daughter she can't fight? Or your sister? She had the same upbringing you had...yet if she's good at fighting she can't do it cuz she's s girl? Hahahaha. You're no different then people who wanted black and whites seperated because "they're different"

I wouldn't encourage my daughter to fight. I'd try to make her into a lady. Either way, just keep them in Invicta if womens MMA is that important.
For the record, I think that every girl should take some sort of martial art/self defense, but I'm not going to pay to watch it.
it's been a year or so since she said that she'd do it. recently she keeps demanding for a catchweight. not gonna happen

i hear everything that you're saying, trust me. all prospects outside the ufc won't get in the ufc. some will, some won't.
why are they not in the ufc versus wmma? ronda rousey, that's who. the same reason brock was sought after hard, and with rumors of his return you know dana is on it like white on rice and fur on mice and toast on rye from the deli in the sky............ because of the star power.
it's nothing more than the music thing we mentioned, it's what is selling now. it's what will help get more attention to the sport. it lines their pockets and will only get more exposure.

aldo is being promoted, he is the one that is not meeting them halfway. he has as much character as a rock. he refuses to learn English, that is a huge part that will get americans to relate to him but he won't and he has admitted to letting his opponent do all the pr stuff while he just stays quiet and trains. he complains about not making more money but more money comes from self promoting and becoming more popular. there is a reason champs after aldo have become more popular and made more money. part of it is his own fault. there's a reason why conor shot straight to the top and is making more money than people of the same caliber that has been here years before him. these people have done great self promoting
Weidman is also being promoted and they can't do much because he keeps getting injured. his rematch with Anderson made a million ppv buys i believe or somewhere close. he is just not staying healthy enough at this point.
i would definitely encourage my daughters not to become a professional mma fighter, but when they are grownups, ultimately it is their choice and if i saw true passion in them i wouldn't stop them
Your thought process is so bizarre and close minded to me. Id want me daughter to be happy following ANY of her passions and not have people like you telling her she can't because she's a woman. It's 2015. We already had a black president and we may have a woman next....let women fight. You don't have to watch but don't tear them down for it either. The same way you don't poo on other things you don't like. You just let it be

Nope again. If it's one mistake I feel I've made over my lifetime, it's being quiet during things like this. I think that's why a lot of things suck now and I think a lot of people can relate to this.
